Ferflux 05 is a special purpose flux for reducing the Sulphur content during the melting of various steels and some cast irons. Presence of high Sulphur from the charge materials, leads to hot shortness which results in poor mechanical properties. Ferflux 05 A is an efficient Sulphur remover, it enables the sulphur containing slag to float on to the top of the molten metal, such that it can be easily skimmed off. Ferflux 05 A produces close grain structure, and enhances machinability.
